Hi Matt!

I love your website! It is so fitting for my boyfriends and my new puppy, Glenwood.

As of today, we have had Woody just two weeks. My friend in Atlanta, GA found him as a stray. She works for an emergency vet clinic, is going to school, and has a daughter. Her time was quite limited so she didn't want to neglect the puppy. He is about 6 months old right now. I told her my boyfriend and i would take him. He had begun to growl at her daughter so she thought it best he go to a home with no children. He is so cute and smart. I was excited to get him and his first couple of days were fine. He gets along so well with our 7 1/2 year old lab mix rescue. I am listing below the items he has chewed and destroyed so far. Please remember this is only two weeks we have had him.

In order by date through Friday 8/15...

  1. carpet in our game room. He has chewed two different days so the spot is now noticeable.

  1. The window sill in above room. It's mostly just paint, but there are definitive teeth marks.

  1. The leg of a dining table chair that belongs to my sister. I have yet to notify her of the missing paint on the chair she is trying to sell...

  1. Futon mattress that was our older dogs' outdoor bed. It was un-salvageable. Might I just say, the older dogs has started hating the puppy. You can see it in his eyes.

  1. wire harness off our full size air hockey table. This was quite devastating since we play air hockey all the time. Luckily, we got a super deal on the table, it's only the electronic scoring that does not work, and the company is sending us the replacement part free. (big props to Harvard Gaming systems)

  1. A metal electrical outlet cover for an outside electric socket. I just hope he wasn't electrocuted.

  1. And for the most shocking unusual item this new puppy has chewed....

Siding off our house!!! It is attached to the house, not just a piece that was lying around waiting to be chewed. It's two planks of siding. Not all of it, but there is definitely a hole where you can tell damage was done. My boyfriend was furious yesterday upon finding the siding shredded in the screened porch.

We took Woody to the vet today and she recommended crateing him at night and during the day. I am not sure what we will do yet, but one day we may come home to find the outside of our house missing.

We even leave chew toys out for him. Ropes, tennis balls, and a super food dispenser chew toy which he chooses to ignore. We have a half acre fenced lot for him to run and play as he pleases. We play with him every evening when we get in from work, but it seems nothing we do curbs the cheweing.

Thanks for reading this. I hope it at least made you laugh and love Watson a little more for at least not chewing up the outside of your house. ;)
