My Golden-Afghan hound dog, Dusty, was teething when he blasted through a box of Brillo scouring pads. I rushed him to the vet who said there wasn’t much to be done. The dog lived, and his eating habits normalized until the day he ate the latex nipples off of a half-dozen of my infant daughter’s pacifiers that were spread about the house. Raced to the vet, who yet again said there wasn’t much to be done but put Vaseline on his food to help the Latex pass. I didn’t bother to check, but Dusty lived another 6 years.
