At first, it wasn't too bad. A slipper here, a roll of paper towels there. Then her puppy teeth fell out and were replaced with these giant destroyer teeth, which quickly became enemy to man and furniture alike. At the time, we were in an apartment. At 5 months, she chewed her way out of a heavy-duty plastic crate. And man, was she proud. Also in this apartment, she removed multiple pieces of trim, chewed three sets of blinds to pieces, chewed through two dining chair legs, ate the batting from the bottom of a box spring and chewed off every knob on the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. And that's just furniture.
After my lease was up, Fiona and I moved in with my parents, who currently have two well-behaved dogs of their own. Enter Fiona, who is still lacking manners to this day. She has broken and/or chewed through three dog ties, shredded a shower curtain, broke out of the dog pen by bending the gate, broke out of her welded steel dog crate (now zip tied together-she's over being crated THANK GOD!), stolen and eaten mass amounts of underwear and socks, shoes, slippers...Although I'll say the topper was removing the wooden hot tub door and chewing it into splinters, as well as chewing the hot tub cover into shreds. She's well over 100 pounds now and just keeps getting into more stuff, but man I love her.
In addition, she has destroyed:
--Several pairs of slippers
--About 15 pairs of shoes (no joke)
--Uncountable amount of underwear & socks (always the expensive ones of course!)
--Cell phone & charger
--$200 Marc Jacobs sunglasses
--Alarm clock cord
--Picture frames
--2 pairs of jeans
--Every plush squeaky toy known to man
--A rug
--2 leashes, 3 collars
--My Super Nintendo! (still not over that one)
--About 15 boxes of Kleenex; we actually have to keep the boxes upside down so she doesn't pull the Kleenexes out and eat them.
--Beach towels
--Feather pillows (oh the mess)
--Playstation & Super Nintendo controllers
--So many rolls of paper towels & toilet paper
--An entire large pizza (still in the box) eaten directly off the counter.
--Any food left on the counter, for that matter. It's so easy to reach!
Oh, I feel better. I love my dog, but some days I wonder...
