It was bad enough that it took us 7 months to even get him to have the slightest idea what potty training meant (everyone told us that Chihuahuas are just slow) but then after we thought we had gotten the concept of outside through to him the marking began. The boy can't help himself! We tried everything and he still marks stuff. Then to make matters worse we got him a girlfriend and he just seemed to want to pee on things more. He even peed on her when she was a puppy. So needless to say we have replaced and hosed down our whole house yet again so that our 1 1/2 year old son has a clean environment to play in and Gordie is not allowed free in the house unless he has his "Bad Boy Belly Band" on (it's a band that wraps around his peter). He still pees but the band works as a diaper. It's sad really because he is often jealous of his girlfriend who spends more free time in the house than he does because she doesn't feel the need to pee on things for sport. Gordie is so bad that we have to watch him when we are going in and out the door because he will run in the house just to pee on something. I am telling you i think the chewing would be easier to deal with.

Thanks for the vent...

daily dog tailhttp://www.thingsmydogateblog.com

My dog does not chew on things but we have replaced the carpet twice, thrown out a set of six dinning room chairs, a whole library of books, a stereo cabinet, an antique jewelry box, clothes, shoes ... you name it...all because of this 6 lb. dog. You see Gordito is a whizzer.

i pee on lap now.
