Koko, my husky Lab cross eats one thing every time I leave the house. I could be gone 10 minutes or eight hours. She eats one thing. I could shut her out of the main part of the house. She'll eat one thing, not two, not five - just one. Normally she has a taste for Post It notes. As an author I have dozen of seeming brilliant musings scrawled on Post It's all over my home. Certainly x-rays would reveal that there is indeed a New York Times Best Seller accumulating somewhere between Koko's stomach and lower intestine.

I've learned to accept her prolific Post It pilfering with a scence of humor. But once in awhile Koko likes to try new things. When she ate the "AAA" off of my Triple A card she went too far. Writing just happens for me and something always fills the pages, but locking the keys in my Jeep is a craft I have had to cultivate for years and I will not have my hard work toyed with!
