When I first got Patches, I was headed to Animal Control to help with the huge Chihuahua bust, and see if I could foster or something. I went home with a Pit Bull. My first. She wasn't supposed to stay with us, just a foster, but turns out she's got several strikes against her. She's a Pit, a fence jumper, and a chewer.

The chewing started with shoes. I think when I got her I had at least 10 pairs. I now have 3, and none of them were the originals. She then decided my school books would be fun. I'd say they were worth $800+. Then on to pillows, underwear, the usual. My mattress has a very lovely "seat" as I call it, a hole from the jaws of death, and my couch has one too. Her favorite "toy" of the week? clothes hangers.

This dog is indestructible. I figured she'd end up getting a blockage by now, because she not only chews the items, she EATS everything she chews. She's also eaten Colorado River Toads, all the foods doggies aren't supposed to have, and within the last week she reminded me I had rat bait under my kitchen sink, and had left Ibuprofen on the counter. She's now on Vitamin K for the next couple weeks, to hopefully prevent death from the rat bait.

If she gets ahold of anything else worth interest, I will surely let you know!
