Ahh, dogs!
This story about my sweet whippet Roxie still lingers in my memory.
I had just ordered $300 glasses from Costco. Anti reflective lenses,
shiny rhinestones, the whole shebang. I left them in a case on the
counter when I made a quick trip out. Roxie really, really didnt like
being alone. So much so when I opened the front door there was ONE
arm of my new glasses near the door. I followed bits of what used to
be Coach specs through my house until I find Roxie, in all her glory,
perched on the couch looking at me. On the floor were the twisted
remains of the frames. One lens was still intact, one lens to never
be seen again. How she weaseled them out of the case one will never
know.
Enjoy all these trying times though. The stories will make you
laugh one day even though it makes you furious. At one point I wanted
to get rid of her. (that was after she ate all my shoes in one setting
and I didnt have shoes to go buy shoes). I hung in there and ended up
loving her for 2 years. She was attacked and killed by a bobcat a
little over a year ago. I would give anything to have her back to eat
more of my things.
mommy, your glasses didnt taste as good as they looked.
