Alvin was already named and my fiance Dennis and I agreed that the name Alvin fit him very well. The first night Dennis and I had him home, we were playing on the floor and Alvin began playing with Dennis's hair...that's what Dennis thought anyway...I quickly grabbed the camera and took a shot...I could have sworn I took more than one, then again I was laughing so hard I almost peed myself, anyway... I finally told Dennis what little 10 week old Alvin was really doing...humping his head! Dennis was mortified and still to this day is embarrassed by the whole thing... just earlier when I asked if I could share this he said      "When was the last time a dog humped you in the ear?" Hahahaha.

Maybe its one of those 'ya had to be there' scenarios, maybe I am too easily amused, either way Alvin's full name has been Sir Alvin Humps A Lot from that day on...yes, his pedigree even says so. :)

He still gets his groove on...even though he has since been altered, and we no longer allow him to try to dominate people, but he has designated toys, one we just had to throw out cause he humped the stuffing out of it. The other is a plush dragon...one can only wonder if he is silently singing the 'Puff the Magic Dragon' song as has his way with it...hehe.

Okay, my story about my dog Alvin isn't about what he ate, but how he got his name...his full name. From the first moment I laid eyes on him was Alvin.  I knew he was my dog, I had to have him!  It wasn't just cause he was a cute puppy, it wasn't cause he was a Yorkie (actually never liked the breed too much) it was the look in his eyes, I guess I can't explain it, I just fell in love!
