What hasn’t Buster ate?
Let’s start with the big things like 2 couches. Yes the first one He would take the arms off the couch and pull the insides out after he ripped into them. So none of my arms stayed on and where the arms were he ripped out that and the insides of that too.(Those were leather couches) Then I recently got another couch and throw the old one away and he ripped a whole in the side and on the bottle where the cushions are at. He ate at my ex boyfriends house the kitchen table legs bc they were wooden and the chair legs. Now buster does not like the cage at all. I have tried taking him to pet smart training and a personal trainer and he does not care he will not stay in his crate. He will rip threw the metal bite it and break it. I have seen him with my own eyes and he will squeeze out of the smallest hole in the crate. He will sit down on his back legs and hit the crate door as hard as he can so that he can open the door. He doesn’t care if he gets cut or anything. He has destroyed 2 crates now and when I mean I have tried I put pad locks on the crate and he would still manage to get out. I tried tying it up because when he gets out he goes crazy on the house anything he can find, Garbage on the floor, anything on the counters examples, remote controls, cell phones, Xbox remote controls, laptop chargers, DVD’s, Dishes in the sink, Bread on the counter, any food that is left out is free game he doesn’t care if its in the Tupperware either he will eat that too.. It’s like he has taste for the most expensive things I swear. He has also eaten or should I say ripped apart 2 beds. Since leaving him in the crate and the living room didn’t work I tried leaving him in my room well that wasn’t good either. He ripped my bed to pieces and when I mean ripped it to pieces I mean it was so bad I flipped it over to try and keep it for a little longer and he got to the other side too. I know they say try putting change in a can and shaking it or try and throw treats in the crate or try and leave something of yours inside the crate but none of that works for him he still goes crazy and destroys everything. He has also ripped to pieces shoes and cloths.
Now another thing.. Yes there is MORE!! One time I was cooking on a little mini grill me and my roommate have. The grill was taking forever like an hr just to cook some steak well I left the lid open because I was going to get the plate real quick, not thinking anything and when I came back the streak was all gone. He ate 4 pieces of steak right off the grill after it took me forever to cook it.. I was sooo mad.. He will also eat frozen foods like ground beef, and chicken. Which one time I was sitting down and he was really quiet so I went to look at him and he had a frozen piece of chicken he was trying to eat in his crate. Yes he did go into his crate for that. He took it from inside the sink and snuck to the balcony and ate it. He has stolen the bread. He has stolen a sandwich right off of my ex boyfriend’s father’s plate. He does not care he will go to any extent. If you catch him in the act he will run as fast as he can and eat it while he is running. He will hide it under his tongue if im trying to get something out of his mouth. He will go outside into the back yard and try and eat frogs and lizards and he will put the frog in his mouth and run with it through the backyard. He is a crazy dog and at first this would drive me crazy and I would want to kill him. I would put him in the crate, hit him with the newspaper. At one point I was ready to get rid of him because he was stressing me out.
Last year for Christmas I got home and he had at some balls off the xmas tree and dropped the tree right on the floor. There were broken balls everywhere on the carpet through my whole house on the couch everywhere not only did he do that he got the trash and the house looked like a wreck. They said if u fix them they will calm down but I did and that didn’t work either. Now this mostly happens if you leave him alone its like he is trying to get back at you for leaving him alone. Now the personal trainer for him is working with his manner’s at home so that is getting better but we still can’t trust him alone. The last chance we gave him he ate the couch. I have had him for 2 years almost and other than that he will come and lay next to u and give u kisses. He will protect you. He is a really loving dog he just wants to be around people at all times. I have come close to getting rid of him but I know someone else won’t be as loving and they might do something to him and I can’t let that happen to my Buster. So I guess im stuck with him they say Boxer’s have that in them to be that way and that at 2 he will change.. So im still hoping in October we start to see a major difference. Lets hope! This site was a good idea because knowing your not alone is a good feeling.
