So let tell you about our dogs all 5 of them:
First we have Maggie who is an almost two year old English Mastiff, needless to say she acts her age. She loves to chew anything and everything she can get into her big mouth. Have you ever tried to get a 125 lb Mastiff to drop what they have in their mouth? Even if she does drop it, it will be covered in drool. I mean pokemon cards, shoes, rugs, underwear, paper towels (she loves these), toilet paper, paper plates (she of course gets these from the kitchen garbage which she can reach without any effort), the couch, the coffee table, the stairs, the windowsill, the mattress on our bed, the blinds on our windows, should I go on?
Next we have Mya and Sky who are about a year old, wow they are a treat. I call them our junk yard dogs because they are the type of dogs that will eat anything. They were stray dogs that we adopted together from a high kill shelter and although they are not related they sure act like brother and sister. They are both huskey mixes and you could not ask for sweeter dogs. You could however ask them to please stop chewing and eating everything they can, maybe they will listen to you because they sure do not listen to me. They are the destroyers of all, two couches (not just old couches the one in my living room is proof), the nice chair in my living room, they seem to like the arms of furniture. I have to try and sew up the arm on the living room couch soon but for now it is covered up. That is what they start with and then move over to the seat. We bought a slightly used leather couch for our garage/video room as we call it and no joke they ate it within two days. They have eaten XBox remotes (three), assisted Maggie with chewing the stairs, three pairs of my husbands sandals this summer, two of my sons sandals, oh...the pool floats (three), the radio that we use by the pool, one cell phone, numerous pillows and pillowcases, the awning in the back yard, and way to many socks to count. They also LOVE rugs any kind they don't care, they are not picky eaters. My husband keeps telling me to stop buying new ones since they will only be eaten anyways, I say I will keep buying them and someday maybe they will stop eating them.
Then we have Allie our 5 year old GS and Harley our mutt that was a rescue also - now I must say that since they are older they are also slightly wiser then the other three. Harley will however on occassion eat underwear or socks that are left within his reach. Allie had her chewing times when she was a puppy, now she just sits and watches the others and I always wonder what she is thinking when she watches them. Is she wondering wow, how are you going to poop that stuff out, or do you know how much trouble you are going to be in when they see this? I wish she could talk because I am sure she would tell them to knock that crap off because, that is how good she is.
We love them all chewing or not and would not trade them for anything.
Thanks for letting me vent!

P.S. In the time I was typing this, Sky was in the kitchen chewing on the leg of the one kitchen chairs (which he has chewed before and I sure will chew again).
