We have 2 dogs that we take to work with us daily, a lab/pit bull who is the best dog in the world and a Siberian husky/german shepherd mix that has given us the most trouble that I could ever imagine. When brought to work, there are no problems. When left at home while we go out, our husky has done the unthinkable. We started out leaving them in the house while we left since our lab mix (our first dog) never bothered anything. When we came back the first couple of times little things were torn up, so after that we picked up anything that we thought would be a target for destruction. That didn’t work either. The next time we came back, she had torn the vacuum up, took dishes out if the sink and scattered them through the yard, and also turned on the water in the kitchen sink as well as chew a hole in the sprayer on the sink. So needless to say we came home to a really wet kitchen. We have also came home to our mattress turned over off of our bed with a big hole in it as well as our couch in the living room having one of the cushions pulled off with a big hole in it. Keeping her outside was a problem as well. Being a husky, she definitely knows how to jump. She has been nicknamed Houdini since no matter what we did to keep her in the yard; she always found a way out. We had to keep her in a kennel on the porch while we left so she couldn’t get out by digging or jumping. She seems to be settling down now, but she really kept us wondering what she would do next.
