I'm sorry I don't have a picture, but boy do I have a story.

My neighbor and good friend a the time rang my door bell one morning. She had a sweet looking long haired dachshund with her. She said she had found it at the bus stop. She was so afraid it was going to get hit by a car. She knew we didn't have a dog and wondered if we would keep it until we could find the owner. Softy that I am I said sure. The dog fell in love with me instantly.

That day she followed me everywhere. I went over to talk to the neighbor to see if they knew who she belonged to, and she laid at my feet. She sleep on my bed that night. The next morning was Saturday and everyone was home. We decided to take the kids to MacDonald's. It  was a cool winter day so of course we brought my new best friend with us. We all jumped in the new use car we had just gotten. We looked for lost dog flier on the way and ask a few people if they knew who she belonged to. She was so good in the car on the drive, we thought what a great dog. We went into eat and sat by the window so we could see her. We could see that darling face waiting in the car for us. My son even went out to make sure she was alright, just looking in through the window. I think we all hurried to eat to get back to our knew found pet.

Little did we know in between when we saw her sweet face at the window, she was eating the inside of the car. She took giant bites out of the arm rest the side panel of the door, the seats - it was a mess.

We then went home. Later we needed to go out again. No problem - i thought - we will just leave her outside. We have a totally blocked in wall fenced yard. She couldn’t do anything.  Boy, were we wrong....While we were gone she totally  tore the screen completely off the door. She also made a mess out of out newly replaced gate. Remember she was just a little thing, with a big mouth.

We found out later she just really wanted to be with me. I have had dogs from when they were puppies and they never loved me as much as this dog. If anyone came at me she would go for them. Very protective. We found her owner. I did find her back at my front door the next day after giving her back.  It was hard for me to give her back again, but I did.
