When she was a puppy, she chewed the edges off all my wooden courtyard steps.  I think she did not want me to get injured by the sharp edges :>)   And she chewed the corners of a few door frames.  She is a year old but will still chew up a bath mat if she gets a chance at it.  But the most interesting "chews" she has done is with shoes.  One day I came home and she had a pair of shoes outside on the deck that she had gotten from the bedroom (yes, they were left out of the closet).  I found it interesting that she got both of the shoes, but only chewed one of them.

I was very careful not to leave my shoes out of the closet but several weeks later, I inadvertently left my closet door slightly ajar.  She had pushed the door open with her nose (I saw her do it at a later time), got three matching pairs of shoes, took them out of the closet, around the bed, and to the other side of the room.  She chewed one of each shoe of the 3 pairs.  I wonder if she got one shoe and then went back to get the shoe that matched; then proceeded to the second and third sets??  She certainly could not have carried all three pairs -- or even one pair at a time.

She also likes two of my 5 landscape lights on my courtyard. She takes the cover off and takes it to the "big yard."  I guess she plays with it??  She also gets the post that holds it in the ground and chews on that.  She has done this numerous times to just those two lights.  I finally put a flower pot over those two lights to stop her.

Piper looks very innocent in this picture (taken at about 6 months of age -- and she is often a very good girl.  But sometimes she, apparently, gets a little bored when I am not home; therefore,  finds some trouble.  She is the fifth bouvier I have owned, but the first that has chewed as much.
