I got Zeus my choc lab back in 2000... I knew the first day he was going to be a hand full when he drug my 11 yr old across the yard and he was only 9 mths old lol.....  After a few years of having him, my new husband and I decided to get him a playmate and we searched and searched for months for the perfect dog. We wanted to rescue from a shelter and we finally found "rookie" Blue heeler / boxer mix.  We knew it was going to be hard to adjust not being the only dog in the house but he did good...OR SO WE THOUGHT!

We had rookie for about 5 months and he has always been crated during the day so Zues was the only one out running around that day... I came home and I noticed big pieces of foam all over the floor soon as I walked in the door...then I looked over and half my couch was missing... not just small pieces.. he ate the couch clear down to the metal frame.  This couch wasn't even a year old and momma wasn't happy.  I called my husbands cell phone and I walked back out of the house to breathe so I would not do anything harsh.. I was just in shock. I peaked in a couple times to make sure that yep thats what it was.  How? Why? and OMG! were the only things going through my head.  I still don't know why other then maybe he was jealous but he is still here and still loved.  Other then being a trash dog hes a pretty good dog.. BUT DON'T LEAVE OUT THE TRASH!!!!!!!!!!! OR food on the counter!

Rookie now is my problem child! I have recently started a small animal breeding business in my home.. so I have to watch when I bring new animals in the house because the next day after I bring in the new animal something of mine gets destroyed.  So far I have lost a hair pick, Curling iron, Hair dryer, brush, underwear, stuffed animals, books, bills, a digital camera (yeah this one didn't make me happy either), phone, and he also loves to work with zues to see how much trash they can scatter all over the house if we leave it out.

Gotta love the joy of your dogs!

Estimated damage.... God only knows!

First let me tell you I love the site... I read everyone else’s post and giggled to myself, and Thanked God that I was not the only one that have lost many things that my dogs have ate.
